What is included in our Solar System?
It consists of the sun and all its orbiting objects. These objects belong to various classes, including planets and their moons and rings; asteroids; comets; meteors and particles of dust and debris. The sun keeps the objects in orbit with it's immense gravitational field. The largest planet is Jupiter also protects us from comets hitting the earth with its gravitational field also pulling objects away from Earth.
